It all starts innocently - with the university games during which the team of the faculty of the occult & erotic history and archaeology can show what they're made of.
While Catori, Itz, Jess and Kessie are melting into one of their 'moments,' Prudence, an assistant of Professor Winky (who, to put it mildly, harbors a sanctimonious aversion toward the faculty's staff), goes on an emotional spiral even though she did everything to explode the sports day in a blaze of glory.
Prudence sees what she shouldn't and, even more bewildered and exhausted, has to deliver a package. A mysterious parcel that seems to have an oozing life of its own… Soon, Prudence and the faculty team have to embark on a daring odyssey - across the vast oceans of time & space!
They learn first-hand about the unbelievable predicament a certain literature professor from Scotland found himself in many a decade ago and who, hoping to regain a long-lost friend, instead discovers that he has become a quarry. An elusive trophy hunted by a being out of this world...
But Edan Mackay is ready to go to extreme lengths (literally!) - not so much to save his own hide but to free others from a demonic menace. Together with old & new friends, he won't stop from merging science with witchery to get things done.

Second edition update
For untold reasons, Amazon did not like the sensuously beautiful illustrations that were originally part of this book. It is even more sorrowful as I wanted to make The Daring Series something more than just spicy, tongue-in-cheek novels - a place where literature meets graphic art; where genuinely talented human artists transform words into images. Alas, some still aren't ready to, paraphrasing the famous scene from the film A Few Good Men, handle a clean, charming, stunningly gorgeous puss. Argh!
Oh, and the irony! A human writer who commissioned human painters gets a slap in the face - all the while Amazon is awash with AI-generated smutty stuff! Lucky those who ordered prints of the first edition; these are some rare birds now!
In defiance of this, you can still enjoy the artwork, which you'll find in a lushly heavy PDF under the QR code in the book. To make further amends, it also contains the images from The Queen of the Amazons.
